About the Opportunity

Welch LLP is currently looking for a Accounts Receivable Administrator for our Ottawa office who will be responsible for processing and managing payments received by Welch.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and record client receipts (cash, cheques, credit cards, EFTs, wire transfers) and client adjustments
  • Perform daily bank deposit function
  • Sort and distribute Finance Dep’t mail
  • Communicate with clients, Partners, and staff for follow up and to respond to inquiries
  • Generate and distribute monthly client statements
  • Generate and distribute management reports as required
  • Manage Petty Cash fund
  • Prepare documentation for client receivable refunds
  • Provide back-up and support for the Finance Team

Qualifications

  • Diploma in business accounting or similar experience
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, such as debits and credits
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Prior experience in Accounts Receivable would be considered a strong asset
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Adobe
  • Desire to learn new skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Bilingualism is a strong asset but not a requirement
