The 40 Under 40 award recognizes 40 professionals under the age of 40 who are innovative and talented leaders with outstanding business accomplishments, professional experience and community involvement. The awards ceremony is an eventful gala recognizing the incredible talent of our city.

Cody continues the legacy of talented and inspirational team members whom have been awarded the 40 Under 40 award over the years. Our Welch 40 Under 40 winners include Bruce Raganold (2005), Scott Murdoch (2005), Adam Nihmey (2010), Christa Casey (2014), Stephan May (2015).

Cody Sorensen, MBA, OLY, joined Welch Capital Partners as Senior M&A Associate in 2016, following regional office and business banking roles at a Big Five financial institution. Cody graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Economics and obtained his MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in 2016.

Cody also devotes time to volunteering with several local charities and is a recent recipient of the Community Volunteer of the Year award for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Ottawa.
