Joanne Dion

Joanne brings many years of experience in management and public accounting to Welch. Her current role is an Assurance Manager, providing consulting, advisory and assurance services to private and public sector clients.

Since joining Welch LLP as a Manager in 2019, Joanne has completed the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation and the Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) designation through the Institute of Internal Auditors.  She also attained the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation offered through the Global Risk Management Institute, in conjunction with the Carleton University Risk Management program.

Joanne attained her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in 2018, after exiting the workforce for many years to raise a family. Joanne graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in Management. Prior to joining Welch, Joanne held various positions in management, accounting & finance, and spent several years in the Canadian Armed Forces.
