Matt has over 20 years of experience in providing assurance and business advisory services to owner managed businesses and not-for-profit organizations, specializing in the manufacturing, real estate and construction industries. Matt leverages his extensive experience to help provide innovative solutions to his clients, to enhance their ability to grow and navigate the ever evolving tax and financial reporting landscape. Matt received his CPA designation in 2007.

Prior to joining Welch, Matt was a partner at a national accounting firm, and has previous experience working with an international firm.

Matt’s experience includes facilitating internal training and development courses, as well as evaluating and enhancing assurance methodology, and developing internal training courses.

In addition to accounting firm specific training, Matt supports the profession through his role as an instructor for CPA Ontario, facilitating professional development courses on assurance standards, accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations, and accounting standards for private enterprises, including industry specific courses for accounting standards in the real estate and construction industries.
