The 2024 Tim Horton’s Dragon Boat Festival took place on the weekend of June 22 and 23rd at Mooney’s Bay Beach. Welch was thrilled to have Welch’s Team of Steele competing in the financial services category!
Team of Steele competed in the 500m qualifying races on Saturday, moving on to the 100m, 200m, and 500m races on Sunday.
Captained by Heather Clayton, and with only two practices leading up the eventful weekend, the Team of Steele earned themselves 3rd place trophies for their heats in the 100m and 200m races, and received individual bronze medals for their heat in the 500m race.
Well done, Team of Steele!
