Day of Caring 2025

Welch LLP is proud to have sponsored this year’s United Way Hastings & Prince Edward’s Annual Day of Caring.

Volunteers from 19 different workplaces took on meaningful hands-on volunteer projects throughout the region in a way to come together and give back to the community.

Among many of the projects, one of the biggest this year was restoring the Bridge Street United Church. A large number of volunteers, including our very own Welch LLP staff, spent the day painting the gymnasium, and tackling exterior work to restore the community church. Several years ago, the congregation opened its doors to serve as a drop-in centre operated by the John Howard Society in partnership with other agencies. It served people in need, largely those without shelter.

This is Welch LLP’s fifth year as the title sponsor of the Day of Caring. Also sponsoring the event were McKesson Canada, Kennametal Stellite, McDougall Insurance and Financial, Tretina Nelson of TD Wealth Management, and Magna.
