Ryan Dostie

Ryan is an accounting and assurance partner at Welch LLP. Ryan provides advisory and compliance services to small/medium sized enterprises throughout the Ottawa region in many industries including retail, automotive, construction, professional and real estate. Ryan’s expertise also expands into the Not-For-Profit (‘NPO’) and government space , where he leads many audits, and other advisory engagements for large national organizations, government departments, charities and other NPOs. His entrepreneurial focus and expertise enables him to assist clients beyond the basics and help them drive all aspects of their operations. Ryan has good working knowledge of corporate, personal and trust taxation which enables him to provide sound advice and proactive planning for his clients.

Ryan is people oriented and knows the value of a strong team and fostering great business relationships. He understands that pulling in the right resources at the right time can drive success in execution. He believes by working collaboratively with key parties – business owners/management, internal accountants/staff, external parties, success with follow.

Ryan has been working with Welch for over 24 years. He has both his CPA, CA and his CFP (certified financial planner) designations. In addition to leading the retail practice for Welch LLP, he heads Welch’s staff training program, collections department and is an active mentor to over 20 staff.
