We honour the memory of John Berry with great admiration, recognizing the meaningful legacy he leaves behind as a valued former partner of Welch LLP.
John followed proudly in the footsteps of his father, E.D. Berry, who himself served as a partner at Welch. With the same dedication, professionalism, and leadership that defined his family’s name, John built a meaningful career with the firm. He retired from his role as capital partner in 2015, leaving behind a lasting impact on colleagues, clients, and the broader Welch community.
John will be remembered not only for his technical expertise and commitment to the profession, but for his integrity, warmth, and the countless relationships he nurtured over his many years with the firm.
His legacy continues at Welch through his son, Peter Berry, who became a partner in 2020 and proudly carries forward the Berry family tradition of excellence and service.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Berry family. John’s contributions and spirit will remain an enduring part of Welch LLP.
