GST/HST Tax Holiday
January 03, 2025 – The proposed legislation received Royal Assent on December 12, 2024, just in time for the proposed start date of December 14, 2024. The holiday is set to end on February 15, 2025. The following items are subject to the tax holiday:

New Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit
September 12, 2024 – The CTITC is a refundable tax credit available to taxpayers that make eligible investments in clean technology property that become available for use between March 28, 2023 and December 31, 2025. September 29, 2023 – Effective January 1, 2019, BC resident employers are subject to BC EHT. If a corporation’s registered office is in BC and it does not have a PE elsewhere in Canada, it will be considered a BC resident employer and must consider the BC EHT implications.
