How Supporting the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation Helps Our Community

At a recent panel discussion held by the Cancer Foundation in April, Cancer Care, Close to Home!, we heard how people living with cancer, along with their families and support system, have benefited from these services.

The Cancer Foundation serves a number of important roles in our community:

1. Clinical trials for those needing clinical therapy – close to home;
2. Funds research that’s taking place right here in Ottawa;
3. Cancer Coaching to improve quality of life for people living with cancer.

Cancer coaching is quickly becoming an essential element to navigating the cancer journey, focusing on wellbeing as a whole, addressing each person’s unique experiences, needs and challenges. Cancer coaching helps navigate challenges and enable individuals with the knowledge to make choices that are right for them.

Welch LLP and the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation have been community partners since 2016. Our annual fundraiser, Welch Grand Casino, has raised more than $80,000 in support of the Cancer foundation.

We are pleased to support the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation with Welch LLP’s Grand Casino this October 25, 2019. Tickets will be available to purchase starting in July.
