The partners of Welch LLP congratulate Bryden McMaster on his promotion to Partner in the Ottawa Office.
Bryden joined Welch in Ottawa in 2011. Bryden specializes in audits and reviews within the not-for-profit sector (including, but not limited to, associations, charities, long-term and respite care homes, child care centres and foundations). In addition, within this and the government sector, Bryden leads contribution and specialized audit engagements. Bryden’s assurance focus also has him overseeing audit and review engagements for several large private companies in the region. Prior to joining Welch, Bryden spent 4 years working with a big four firm here in Ottawa.
Bryden is actively involved in our community and sits as the co-chair of the PACE (education) committee for the Canadian Society of Association Executive’s Ottawa Gatineau Network. He combines volunteering with his passion for downhill skiing as a committee member for organizing Ronald McDonald House of Ottawa’s Annual SkiFest event. He was also the founder of our firm’s Big Bike Team for Heart and Stroke, which to date has helped Welch LLP and its employees raise over $50,000 for the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Aside from working with clients and volunteering, Bryden plays an active role in our firm’s recruitment, people development and retention initiatives through his involvement and leadership within our firm’s people focused committees. He has also been a part of our firm’s Quality Control Department in ensuring our firm continues to meet and exceed the professional requirements of our industry.
Bryden graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in 2007 and obtained his Chartered Accountant / Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2010.
